Day 1: TRANSFER TO FORTPORTAL
After morning breakfast drive to Fort Portal with a branch off to Nakayima Tree in Mubende before you continue to Fort Portal which lies close to the fabled mountains of the moon where we shall check in at the hotel and Visit the Karambi tombs and the Toro kings palace. Return to the Hotel for dinner and Overnight in Fort Portal.
Day 2: BATORO AND BAKONJO COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
After breakfast, we will start our full-day tour filled with real discoveries. We will first visit a tribal community at the foothills of the Rwenzoris, where the locals look forward to welcoming and entertaining us. From here we will tour the area and then have lunch. Where we will enjoy a small entertainment show, provided by the Bakonjo and Batoro people. This event will be followed by a visit to the local women’s group to observe the process of making artifacts for their community. Return to the Hotel for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3: TORO COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
After an early breakfast we’ll leave for Fort Portal to visit various ethnic groups and Villages around the Kings Palace. A memorable visit will be to the Burungu community, which is rooted in the traditional Toro Culture, and where they will entertain you with music, dancing and storytelling. We’ll spend the whole day within these local communities and walk & tour these villages, experiencing and observing their life-style, their rituals, habits and customs, later we drive back to the Hotel for dinner and Overnight in Fortportal.
Day 4: FORTPORTAL TO NYAKASURA AND KAMPALA
After breakfast, drive to Nyakasura historical cave locally known as Amabere ganyinamwiru and also visit the Fort Portal boma grounds. Depart Fort Portal for Kampala with a stopover at the Nakayima cultural tree in Mubende town before lunch. After Lunch continue the journey to Kampala where you will be dropped at your Hotel.
